Saved payment methods can make hotel booking faster. Cards may be available for both personal and agency bookings, depending on your account and agency policy.
Add a card
- Open Payment methods.
- Select the option to add a new card.
- Enter the cardholder name, card number, expiration date, and any other required information.
- Save the card.
Use a card only when you have authorization from the cardholder and your agency.
Set a default card
A default card may be selected automatically during booking. Always confirm the card before completing a reservation, especially when switching between personal and agency workspaces.
Edit or remove a card
From Payment methods, select the card and choose the available edit, set-default, or delete action.
Removing a card does not cancel any existing hotel reservation. A hotel may still retain payment details attached to a confirmed booking according to its policy.
Supported card brands
The portal may recognize common card networks, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, Maestro, and other supported brands.
Card acceptance is controlled by the hotel and rate plan. A card saved successfully in the portal may still be declined by a specific hotel.
Card used for guarantee versus payment
A hotel rate may use the card for:
- Reservation guarantee only.
- Advance payment.
- Deposit.
- Cancellation or no-show fee.
- Payment at check-in or check-out.
Review the selected rate's payment terms.
Card security
- Do not share full card details by email or chat.
- Do not save a client's card without authorization.
- Remove cards that should no longer be used.
- Confirm the last four digits before booking.
- Report an unrecognized charge directly to the hotel and the card issuer, then review the booking in Orders.
A card was declined
Try the following:
- Confirm the number and expiration date.
- Confirm the billing name and address when required.
- Ask the cardholder to approve international or travel-related charges.
- Use a different supported card.
- Check whether the hotel requires a card issued in a specific country.
- Confirm that the card has enough available credit for deposits and incidentals.
